This practical design is appreciated by LIB Industry customers. Hinnerichs, a customer in Germany, shared this feedback after using the LIB Industry TH-50 Portable Cold Heat Controlled Temperature Humidity Test Chamber:“Thanks for asking. Until now everything is ok, no question. Good to know that i can return back to you in case of questions.” This positive feedback reflects the customer's satisfaction with the equipment and confidence in LIB Industry's ongoing support.
This article compares the TH-50 and TH-80 Portable Cold Heat Controlled Temperature Humidity Test Chamber
with a standard environmental test chamber, shows which standards and numbers matter, explains why LIB Industry units sell well, and answers common buyer questions.
Standard environmental test chamber is a wide family. It covers temperature and humidity, salt spray, rain, and sand and dust. Each type follows its own standard. Salt spray follows ISO 9227 or ASTM B117, with 5 % sodium chloride at 35 °C. Rain follows IEC 60529 from IPX1 to IPX6. Dust follows IEC 60529 IP5X and IP6X. Temperature and humidity follow IEC 60068-2-1 for cold, IEC 60068-2-2 for dry heat, IEC 60068-2-78 for steady damp heat at 40 °C and 93 % RH, and IEC 60068-2-30 for cyclic damp heat between 25 °C and 55 °C.
The TH-50 and TH-80 Portable Cold Heat Controlled Temperature Humidity Test Chamber belong only to the temperature and humidity branch. So the fair comparison is with a standard temperature humidity environmental test chamber, shown below. Standard figures are typical values for floor-standing models.

Buyers pick LIB Industry for three reasons. Standard units ship quickly, the feature set is complete from the first day, and the design can be changed to fit your lab.
Reliability shows in the support terms. LIB Industry gives a three year full warranty and lifetime technical support. Spare parts reach customers in 7 to 15 days, and English speaking engineers answer 24 hours a day for installation, caLIBration, and maintenance. The TH-50 TH-80 Portable Cold Heat Controlled Temperature Humidity Test Chambersare built to align with CE, UL, RoHS, and ISO requirements. Electronics makers such as Intel and Apple use these test chambers, and automotive teams use them for cold soak and heat soak tests on controllers, sensors, and battery packs.

① Double layer shelves. Space was limited, so LIB Industry added a second shelf and doubled the samples per run.
② CaLIBration test chamber for thermometers and hygrometers. This version uses a capacitive humidity probe. It costs more, so it is only needed for caLIBration work. A standard probe is enough for general testing.
③ Battery testing with explosion proof design. The test chamber is purged with nitrogen to remove moisture and uses a capacitive probe. It has explosion proof door locks, glass windows, terminal blocks, and door chains, with silicone sealing strips. A high sensitivity smoke and gas detector triggers an audible and visual alarm, cuts the power, and starts ventilation and fire extinguishing. The controller holds 200 programs of 100 segments each, with Ethernet and USB for remote monitoring and data logging.

Moisture is one of the most common causes of electronics failure. Humid air can corrode contacts, leak current between circuit traces, crack solder joints through repeated expansion, and leave water droplets on optical lenses. A phone, a camera module, or a sensor board has to survive a hot, damp summer and a freezing winter before it reaches the customer.
Standards turn these conditions into clear numbers. IEC 60068-2-78 holds samples at 40 °C and 93 % RH for steady damp heat. IEC 60068-2-30 cycles between 25 °C and 55 °C to create condensation on and inside the product. The TH-50 and TH-80 cover both tests, with a range of –86 °C to +150 °C, 20 % to 98 % RH, and fluctuation within ±0.5 °C and ±2.5 % RH. Because most electronic parts are small, a 50 L or 80 L test chamber on the bench is often all a lab needs.
① Intel. On March 30, 2016, an Intel optical engineer emailed LIB Industry about temperature and humidity testing for optical components. The parts were small, so the customer bought a TH-80 in August. To make it easier to use, LIB Industry replaced the wired connection with a plug. After sales support also solved the wet bulb gauze and operation issues quickly.
② Apple. In December 2023, Apple bought two TH-50 TH-80 Portable Cold Heat Controlled Temperature Humidity Test Chambers for its Seattle office. In March 2024, LIB Industry engineers visited the lab, and Apple staff praised the quality and service.

Both cases show strong trust in LIB Industry's customization. Changing a cable to a plug and building safety versions for batteries are exactly the changes buyers cannot get from a catalog.
