United StatesIn March 2023, LIB partnered with a leading U.S. developer and manufacturer of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment to strengthen its product reliability testing capabilities. To support the expansion of its laboratory, the customer invested in five LIB environmental test chambers, including temperature and humidity chambers, water spray test chambers, xenon weathering chambers, and salt spray test chambers.
The equipment was integrated into the customer's R&D and quality assurance processes, where it has been used to evaluate product durability, environmental resistance, and long-term performance under various simulated conditions. These tests play a critical role in
the development of precision diagnostic instruments, helping ensure product reliability before market release.
On March 25, 2024, the LIB team visited the customer's laboratory to conduct a follow-up inspection and review the operational status of the chambers. During the visit, all equipment was found to be performing reliably and meeting the customer's testing requirements.
The customer shared positive feedback regarding chamber stability, ease of operation, and testing consistency. The environmental chambers have become an important part of the laboratory's validation and product development workflow, supporting both ongoing research projects and new product qualification programs.
As part of the visit, LIB engineers provided preventive maintenance recommendations and discussed best practices for maximizing equipment performance and service life. The technical exchange also included future laboratory expansion plans and potential testing requirements.
With growing demand for advanced reliability testing, LIB looks forward to continuing its partnership with the customer by providing additional environmental testing solutions that support innovation, product quality, and regulatory compliance in the ophthalmic industry.
LIB’s Constant Temperature and Humidity Test Chamber is developed to provide highly controlled environmental conditions for research laboratories, quality assurance facilities, and product development centers. Designed for continuous operation under demanding testing requirements, the chamber supports temperatures from –86 °C to +150 °C and relative humidity control from 20% to 98% RH. This wide operating range enables users to perform accelerated aging studies, thermal shock preparation, climate resistance evaluation, stability assessments, and low-temperature storage testing within a single platform.
The chamber is built to deliver dependable and repeatable test results. Advanced control algorithms maintain temperature stability within ±0.5 °C and humidity accuracy within ±2.5% RH, while carefully engineered airflow management ensures excellent uniformity throughout the workspace. These capabilities help eliminate environmental inconsistencies that could affect test outcomes, providing greater confidence in product qualification and reliability verification programs.
At the core of the system is a high-accuracy PT100 Class A sensing network capable of detecting temperature changes with a resolution of 0.001 °C. Real-time feedback is continuously transmitted to the intelligent PID controller, allowing rapid and precise adjustment of heating, cooling, and humidity generation systems.
An optimized air circulation design distributes conditioned air evenly throughout the chamber, minimizing localized temperature and humidity variations. This results in a highly stable testing environment even during long-duration test cycles. Fast thermal response characteristics further improve laboratory productivity, with heating rates reaching up to 3 °C per minute and cooling rates up to 1 °C per minute, reducing overall test preparation and execution time.
To accommodate diverse testing requirements, the chamber features a fully programmable control system capable of storing up to 120 user-defined programs. Each program can contain as many as 100 individual segments, allowing the creation of sophisticated environmental profiles involving temperature ramps, humidity transitions, dwell periods, and cyclic testing conditions.
This flexibility makes the chamber suitable for environmental stress screening (ESS), accelerated reliability testing, material performance evaluation, electronic component verification, and extended damp heat exposure studies lasting hundreds or even thousands of hours.
The test workspace is manufactured from SUS304 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability even under high humidity and extreme temperature conditions. The chamber is equipped with multiple protective functions, including over-temperature protection, refrigeration safeguards, water shortage alarms, and system fault monitoring, helping protect both test specimens and equipment.
Combining precise control, robust construction, and intelligent automation, the LIB Constant Temperature and Humidity Test Chamber delivers a reliable solution for laboratories seeking accurate environmental simulation and consistent testing performance over years of operation.

The IPX1/IPX2 drip system delivers a calibrated 1 mm/min drip rate with specimen rotation at 1 rpm, while IPX2 includes a 15° tilt function for four-direction testing. For IPX3/IPX4, the stainless steel oscillating tube provides ±60° to ±180° swing angles with φ0.4 mm evenly spaced spray holes to simulate rainfall and splashing conditions. IPX5 and IPX6 utilize dedicated nozzles with 6.3 mm and 12.5 mm diameters, delivering 12.5 ± 0.625 L/min and 100 ± 5 L/min flow rates respectively, at controlled pressures and spray distances of 2.5–3 m.
A closed-loop water circulation and filtration system significantly reduces water consumption and allows unattended operation. The adjustable turntable supports loads up to 50 kg and accommodates irregular or large samples. Built-in viewing windows, LED lighting, and optional power supply connections enable real-time functional testing of electronic devices during spray exposure. The full SUS304 stainless steel construction ensures corrosion resistance and durability under continuous wet conditions.
The LIB xenon weathering test chamber accurately reproduces natural sunlight and climate cycles to accelerate material aging in a controlled laboratory environment. Equipped with a 4500 W or 6500 W water-cooled xenon arc lamp, it covers the full spectral range of 280–800 nm, closely simulating outdoor daylight, window-filtered light, and enhanced UV exposure through interchangeable optical filters.
The equipment is engineered in compliance with widely recognized international weathering test standards such as ASTM G155, ASTM D6695, and ISO 11341, making it suitable for standardized accelerated aging and durability evaluation. Users can create customized multi-step testing sequences that combine xenon light exposure, moisture condensation or water spray, humidity regulation, and dark-cycle recovery stages to reproduce complex outdoor climate conditions with high accuracy. The irradiance control system supports precise wavelength regulation at 340 nm or 420 nm, ensuring stable light intensity and reliable repeatability between different test laboratories.
Throughout the testing process, the equipment maintains black panel temperature stability within ±2 °C and humidity accuracy within ±5% RH, allowing dependable simulation of both high-temperature dry environments and humid aging conditions. Its rotating sample holder is capable of accommodating up to 42 specimens simultaneously, helping each sample receive consistent and uniform exposure while reducing discrepancies caused by placement position.
An intelligent PID monitoring system continuously controls and records critical parameters including irradiance, chamber temperature, and humidity. Test records can be saved and exported through USB or Ethernet connectivity, supporting quality tracking, report generation, and laboratory documentation management. Additionally, the integrated closed-loop water circulation design minimizes water usage during spray and condensation operations, improving resource efficiency and supporting environmentally conscious operation.
