LIB MIL-STD-810 Sand and Dust Test Chambers are engineered to reproduce harsh desert environments for evaluating the durability of military equipment and sensitive devices. The system can also be tailored to meet specific testing requirements or project specifications provided by customers.

The equipment enables accurate simulation of both blowing dust and sand conditions. For dust testing, airflow velocity can be controlled within a range of 1.5–8.9 m/s, with a dust concentration of 10.7 ± 7 g/m³. During sand testing, the airflow can reach 18–29 m/s, while particle sizes typically range from 149 µm to 850 µm. These controlled conditions allow users to assess the sealing integrity, abrasion resistance, and functional reliability of components such as electronics, connectors, sensors, and other critical systems operating in desert environments.

To ensure consistent and repeatable testing, the chamber is equipped with integrated monitoring sensors and a PID-controlled touchscreen interface, providing precise control of test parameters and reliable data for demanding military qualification procedures.

The MIL-STD-810H Blowing Sand and Dust Test Chamber is designed to automatically circulate sand or dust inside the chamber to simulate severe desert environments. The system can automatically load the test medium and distribute it evenly throughout the testing cycle. Temperature and humidity conditions are also automatically regulated. All testing parameters can be set and monitored through a programmable color touchscreen controller. The inner chamber is constructed from SUS304 stainless steel with enhanced erosion resistance and high-temperature tolerance, ensuring reliable performance during long-term abrasive testing.

Operation Guide for the MIL-STD-810H Blowing Sand and Dust Test Chamber

1. Before initiating a test, confirm that the chamber is correctly connected to the power supply and that all safety protection systems are active. Place the test specimens securely on the rotating platform or designated fixtures, making sure they are evenly arranged and do not touch the chamber walls or block the airflow path.

2. Next, configure the required testing conditions through the touchscreen PID controller, including parameters such as airflow speed, sand or dust concentration, and the total test duration. Once the program is set, start the test cycle and observe the chamber's operating status through the display interface. During operation, verify that key components—such as the fans, sensors, and filtration system—are functioning normally and maintaining stable environmental conditions.

3. When the test cycle finishes, allow the chamber interior to stabilize and cool before opening the door and removing the samples. After each test, clean any remaining dust or sand from the chamber and perform routine inspection and maintenance to ensure consistent performance and extend the service life of the equipment.
