LIB MIL-STD-810 Blowing Rain Test Chamber is engineered to assess the ability of systems and components to withstand rain and water intrusion in accordance with MIL-STD-810H. While originally developed for military applications, this standard is also widely adopted for commercial product reliability testing.
The chamber precisely recreates combined wind-driven rain conditions encountered in severe outdoor environments. It features adjustable rainfall intensity from 10 to 20 cm/h, wind speeds ranging from 5 to 18 m/s, and controlled droplet sizes of 0.5 to 4.5 mm. Test specimens up to 100 kg can be mounted on an 800 mm rotating turntable (1–7 r/min) to ensure uniform exposure. A liftable water collection system and full-coverage nozzle configuration support multi-angle testing at heights from 1 to 4.2 m, enabling accurate simulation of dripping rain, wind-driven rain, and high-impact water conditions for both military and commercial equipment.

The MIL-STD-810H Rain Test Chamber simulates wind-driven rain conditions in accordance with Procedure I (rain with wind speeds up to 18 m/s) and Procedure III (rain combined with airflow). Chamber dimensions can be tailored to accommodate different specimen sizes and testing requirements.
Key Advantages
1. Realistic Severe Weather Reproduction: The system recreates intense rainfall, wind-driven rain, and high-impact water exposure. With adjustable rain intensity (10–20 cm/h) and wind speeds from 5 to 18 m/s, it enables accurate evaluation of product performance under harsh outdoor conditions.
2. Comprehensive Multi-Angle Coverage: A full-coverage nozzle layout combined with a rotating turntable (1–7 r/min) ensures consistent exposure across all surfaces. The adjustable drip system enhances vertical and angled water application for more realistic testing.
3. Flexible and Programmable Testing: Advanced PID control allows precise regulation of key parameters, including rainfall rate, droplet size (0.5–4.5 mm), airflow, and test duration. Custom test cycles can be configured to replicate varied environmental scenarios.
4. Robust and Corrosion-Resistant Design: The chamber interior is constructed from SUS304 stainless steel for excellent resistance to moisture and corrosion. The exterior uses coated A3 steel, providing durability and long-term operational stability.
5. Enhanced Safety and Operational Reliability: Built-in safety features such as water-electric isolation, electromagnetic door locking, and pressure protection systems ensure safe operation during high-intensity testing, reducing risk and maintaining system integrity.

Operate Guide of the MIL-STD- 810H Rain Chamber
Before starting, ensure the chamber is properly connected to power and water supply. Load test samples securely on the rotating turntable, keeping them within the specified weight limit. Set the desired rain rate, wind speed, droplet size, and test duration using the touchscreen PID controller. During testing, monitor real-time parameters on the display or via remote Ethernet connection. After the test, drain and purify the water system, and allow the chamber to dry before removing samples. Always follow safety precautions, including keeping the door closed and observing water-electricity separation guidelines to prevent hazards.
